I saw this film the other night and was blown away by Amy Ryan's brilliant performance as well Ben Affleck's deft direction. Extremely real and gritty, Boston's authentic local color is evident in every frame. Similar in effect as the film Crash, Gone Baby Gone leaves the viewer emotionally torn, confronting one's assumptions about right and wrong, about legality vs. morality.
